i Taronges



[CAT] Comissariat i disseny de les jornades de pensament i arquitectura Rotondes i Taronges per a l’Espai d’Art Contemporani de Castelló.
Es duu a terme la recerca i documentació d'arquitectura moderna, postmoderna i contemporània de Castelló, amb la meta de transmetre i posar en valor el paisatge propi, aprendre sobre aquest i fomentar el pensament crític amb allò que ens envolta.

[ENG] Curatorship and design of the architecture lectures Rotondes i Taronges for Espai d'Art Contemporani de Castelló. Research and documentation of modern, postmodern and contemporary architecture of Castellón is carried out, with the goal of transmitting and valuing own landscape, learn about it and encourage critical thinking with what surrounds us.


                    



[CAT] L'objectiu de les jornades fou donar a conèixer edificis desconeguts del paisatge castellonenc, reflexionar sobre com l'arquitectura i el territori es retroalimenten dels imaginaris col·lectius d'una comunitat i mesclar realitat i ficció per intentar explicar-nos les contradiccions d’aquest territori.

Vivim en una època que posa la història en escena, que fa d'ella un espectacle i, en aquest sentit, desrealitza la realitat.

[ENG] The objective of the sessions was to rescue unknown buildings of Castellón landscape, to reflect on how architecture and the territory are fed back from the collective imaginaries of a community and to mix reality and fiction to try to explain the contradictions of this territory.

We live in a time that puts history on stage, that makes a spectacle of it and, in this sense, derealizes reality.

[CAT] Les jornades van constar de tallers i presentacions de projectes que els convidats a participar van treballar sobre la ciutat de Castelló els darrers mesos. En primer lloc, al taller Imaginaris col·lectius, es van descobrir edificis i spots inusuals de la ciutat alhora que es van desenvolupar relats que els relacionaren entre ells, reflexionant sobre el paper de la ficció al turisme.
[ENG] The journey consisted of workshops and presentations of projects that those invited to participate worked about the city of Castelló months ago. In the first place, the workshop on Collective imaginaries, unusual buildings and spots in the city were discovered while stories were developed that related them to each other, reflecting on the role of fiction in tourism.










[CAT] En segon lloc les fotògrafes Manuela Lorente i Erika Achec ens van presentar la seua visió de les zones més residencials de la ciutat i la docent Pau Orts Ros ens va fer jugar a un taller de disseny especulatiu al voltant del projecte Mundo Ilusión SL i els projectes megalòmans que han sobrevolat la provincia.
[ENG] Secondly, the photographers Manuela Lorente and Erika Achec presented us with their vision of the most residential areas of the city and the teacher Pau Orts Ros made us play a speculative design workshop around Mundo Ilusión SL and the megalomaniac projects that have flown over the province.



[CAT] Per acabar la jornada ferem una visita guiada al Planetari de Castelló, on es va projectar el curtmetratge que el director de cine Chema García Ibarra i la directora artística Leonor Díaz van realitzar amb arquitectura de El Grau com a protagonista, ciència-ficció de primera línia de platja.

[ENG] To end the day we took a guided tour of the Castellón Planetarium, where a short film was screened. Las Formas, was shot by the film director Chema García Ibarra and the artistic director Leonor Díaz, with the architecture of El Grau niehgbourhood as the main character, science fiction on the beachfront.
